Magenta - Rhodee #2: close to UO/Autzen

The location of this vrbo was really great. Besides that, we had some struggles. It was dirty; dirty plates, cups, dirty linens in the closet too. The floor wasn’t clean and neither were the baseboards. There were marks on the walls from furniture rubbing. It says it fits 4 but we had 3 adults and it was a squeeze. When you have the couch folded out into a bed, there is no room left in the main room. The heater is also tough as it’s either chilly or hot and maintaining a certain temp is impossible. Also, the TV didn’t work. We finally turned it on but the clicker was broken and we even tried different batteries. The responsiveness of the owner was good at times, but they didn’t actually do anything to help. We made it work, but for the amount we paid to stay there, I wouldn’t do that again. The landlords were nice enough, but the property is just a little run down.

This was a fabulous one bedroom plus living room and kitchen area, sofa bed in the living room. The decor was impressive, artistic, high-quality. The air conditioner unit kept it cool when it was hot out and warm when the night got cool. I did have some trouble working the TV, but overall that was a negligible issue. It is centrally located, next-door to a winery and very close to restaurants.The numerical keypad entry confused me at first, but later I found a convenient to not have to deal with a key. I would definitely stay here again.

Great host and house in a cool neighborhood.

The place was updated and comfortable. However the house is next to a bar courtyard that plays music until 10:15pm. You know when you are in an apartment and your neighbor is playing loud music? It sounds like that. The bass, drum and muffled lyrics are unescapable. Pair that with the regular train noises every 30 mins and you may want to look elsewhere if you go to bed before 10:30. Everything else was great! The owners did a great job of renovating and the full kitchen is awesome!
